Looking straight into the sun is a Chilean experimental documentary film that portrays blindness as a director’s logbook in the span of 2019 to 2021, winter to winter. A first person story sketching a question far off visuality, created by sound, archives and fragments of the audiovisual. Blinks that verify the confusing present-day framework in Chile. A schoolyard, a blind woman in her apartment, police shootings, the ancient Greek myth in which eyes are pulled out and a sun eclipse are but a few scenes upon which is built an incomplete relation of a present that demands to be recorded.
