Alicia Scherson

Director and Screenwriter | Chile

Director and screenwriter of Play (2005) and Vida de familia (2017), among others. She wrote the scripts of Rara, Ilusiones ópticas, and El bosque de Karadima, and directed the Chilean-Finish series Héroes invisibles. Celina Murga

Argentinian director, cofounder of Tresmilmundos Cine, and disciple of Martin Scorsese. Her work has been screened and awarded at major festivals, including Berlin, San Sebastián, Venice, and La Habana. Member of the jury at Munich, Toulouse, and Friburg, among others.

Marcela Santibáñez

Producer | Chile

Chilean documentary producer. She studied film at Universidad Católica de Chile (UC), is a Fulbright scholar, and has an MFA in Production at UCLA, California. She produced El agente topo, winner of several awards and nominated for an Oscar in 2021, among other international award-winning works. She is Industry Director of FIDOCS and teaches executive production courses at UC, Chile.

Cristian Saldia

Filmmaker | Chile

Filmmaker and architect. Master in Art and Heritage UdeC. Academic of the UCSC Faculty of Communication, History, and Social Sciences. Director of Frontera Sur International Non-Fiction Film Festival and Frontera Sur LAB Writing Lab for Non-Fiction Film Projects. He is on the project selection team for Chilean Cinema of the Future of Encuentros Australes of FICValdivia. His film “El Ruido de los Trenes” (2015) was screened in over 20 international festivals and received several awards. He is currently developing the feature film “El viento sopla donde quiere.” He has been a jury member in several film festivals and has advised film projects in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Chile, Peru, Argentina.

Alexandra Cuesta

Filmmaker | Ecuador

Ecuadorian filmmaker whose work combines experimental cinema with documentary practices. Her work has been showcased at FIDMarseille, New York Film Festival, Cinema Du Reel, FICValdivia, and Viennale, among others. She had a Guggenheim Scholarship on Film and Video in 2018.

José Luis Torres Leiva

Director, Screenwriter and Producer | Chile

Director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. His short Obreras saliendo de la fábrica (2005) was selected for more than 100 festivals and received, among others, the Best Short-Award at ZINEBI, Bilbao. He is currently writing his next documentary.

Juliana Antunes

Director | Brazil

Brazilian director and founding partner of Ventura. Her opera prima, Baronesa (2017), was staged at many festivals and won Best International Film at FICValdivia, Audience Award at FID Marseille, and Best Documentary Feature at the Havana Film Festival.

Gonzalo Maza

Director, Screenwriter and Producer | Chile

Chilean screenwriter, director, and producer. He has co-written with director Sebastián Lelio four of his films: Navidad (2009), El Año del Tigre (2011), Gloria (2013), and Una Mujer Fantástica (2017). A Fantastic Woman won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2018 and, as its screenwriter, Gonzalo received the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay and two Platino Awards (Ibero-American Academy Awards) for writing this film and Gloria. Ella es Cristina (2020), his first feature film as director, won the Jordan Ressler Opera Prima Award at the Miami Film Festival.

Ignacio Agüero

Filmmaker | Chile

Chilean documentarist with a long career; cinema professor; and coordinator of the Cero en Conducta network. His vast filmography is widely recognized internationally and in two occasions he has received the Grand Pix FIDMarseille: Como me da la gana II (2016) y Nunca subí al provincia (2019). His latest film, Notas para una película (2022), had its world premiere in the 37th edition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival.

María Santos

Program Manager of the Sundance Institute’s Artist Development and Labs Program and Independent Film Producer. Former coordinator of Ava DuVernay, ARRAY and the Advisory Board at Cinereach. Member of the Film Society of Lincoln Center Industry Academy. Fellow at Third World Newsreel Production, where she co-wrote and directed her first short film.

Martin Rejtman

Filmmaker, Screenwriter and Writer | Argentina

Argentinian director and writer. His films have obtained important international recognition, among them: Rapado (1992), Silvia Prieto (1999), Los guantes mágicos (2003), Dos disparos (2014), and the short film Shakti (2019). In recent years retrospectives of his works have been presented at BAFICI; Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley, California; FICValdivia; Harvard Film Archive; Jeonju International Film Festival; Lincoln Center, San Sebastian; mubi.com, among others. In 2018 he received the National Culture Award for the screenplay of Dos disparos.

Yeniffer Fasciani

Filmmaker from the Universidad de Valparaíso, graduated in Executive Production at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Master in Distribution and Audiovisual Business at ECAM through the ECAM+Ibermedia scholarship. She participated in Berlinale Talents and Locarno Industry Academy Chile. She has produced six short films, two feature films, and two TV series and worked for five years at DCI Distribution, currently working in sales at Feel Content and Feel Sales, an international sales agency based in Madrid.

Teresita Ugarte

Director, Producer and Screenwriter | Chile

General Coordinator of the Asociación Gremial Red de Salas Independientes de Cine de Chile and the SALA K Cultural Foundation. The executive producer of the feature film “El niño del plomo” (2021), by Daniel Dávila, and director of five short films made in Canada, France, and Chile. Her latest work, “La Discotheque,” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2015. With a degree in Arts and Humanities from PUC, with a mention in Narration, Film Aesthetics, and Audiovisual Communication, she completed the Advanced Screenwriting and Project Development workshop at the Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, as well as the training program taught by CICAE for art film theater management.

Pepa San Martín

Chilean director and actress. She debuted at Berlin with the short La ducha (2011) and won a DAAD, a creative residence to direct her second short, Gleisdreieck (2012), awarded at FICValdivia. Her first feature, Rara (2016), received more than 18 international awards.

Viviana Saavedra

Director, Producer and Screenwriter | Bolivia

Bolivian producer and director, creator of Bolivia Lab (an Ibero-American film laboratory and one of the most important events in the country) and a new training platform called Alma. She is currently a professor of the Film and Audiovisual Production Program at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés de La Paz, Bolivia.
